1. Submission Limits

An author may publish a maximum of two manuscripts per issue of GJIS: one as principal author and another as co-author, or both as a co-author.

2. Plagiarism and Similarity Check

  • The corresponding author must ensure the manuscript is free from plagiarism.
  • Similarity index must be below 10%, with all such instances properly cited.

3. Citation and Referencing

  • All sources must be cited in line with international academic publishing standards.
  • Use the APA style (latest edition) for referencing and in-text citations.
  • Include a complete reference list at the end of the manuscript.
  • Ensure citation of reputable global authors and those from the country/region discussed.

4. Research Ethics

All authors must adhere to international research ethics throughout the research process.

5. Author Identification and Information

  • Include ORCID iDs for all authors at submission.
  • ORCID iDs will be embedded in the article metadata.
  • Provide full affiliations for all authors.
  • Title page must include: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Contributions, Data Availability, Ethics Statement, Acknowledgments, and Funding.
  • Submit:
    • Main manuscript without author details.
    • Title page with author details.
  • Email addresses (official & personal) and ORCID iDs will appear in the published article.

6. Manuscript Length

  • Quantitative studies: Minimum 6,000 words, including references.
  • Qualitative/Mixed-method studies: 8,000–12,000 words, including references.

7. Language and Format

  • Manuscripts must be professionally edited, preferably by a native speaker.
  • Use 11-point font and single spacing.
  • All visuals (figures/tables) should be placed within the text, not at the end.

8. Submission Process

  • Submit manuscripts in .doc/.docx format via the GJIS online system.
  • Register or log in before submission.
  • Include a signed agreement form confirming compliance with all requirements.

9. Publication Ethics

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
  • Once peer review begins, manuscripts cannot be withdrawn.
  • If under review by GJIS, do not submit the same work elsewhere unless rejected.
  • GJIS reserves the right to edit, modify, or request changes at any stage.

10. Conflict of Interest

The corresponding author must ensure there is no conflict of interest among authors.

11. Peer Review and Acceptance

  • Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
  • Acceptance letters will be issued only after successful peer and editorial review.
  • Authors must grant GJIS a non-exclusive right to publish and translate the manuscript.
