Open Access (OA) and Article Processing Charges (APCs) Policy

The Glovento Journal of Integrated Studies (GJIS) publishes all articles under a Creative Commons CC-BY license, enabling immediate open access to scholarly work worldwide. This allows anyone to read, share, and reuse content with proper attribution.

GJIS is committed to removing access barriers to academic knowledge. Researchers from all regions and institutions can publish in GJIS, regardless of funding. To support our publishing operations—peer review, editing, and global dissemination—we rely solely on article processing charges (APCs).

Article Processing Charges Structure

GJIS charges a flat publication fee of USD 100 per accepted manuscript. This fee supports peer review, editing, production, and online hosting. No submission or other hidden fees are required.

Waiver Policy

GJIS strives to support authors facing financial constraints. Waivers of APCs are available for authors from low and lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank.

Authors may qualify for APC discounts based on financial need, region, or student status. The following discounts apply:

S. No Category Discount (%)
1 Authors from Lower-Income Countries 75–80%
2 Authors from Lower-Middle-Income Countries 60–75%
3 Students from Upper-Middle-Income Countries 35–50%

Note: Only one type of discount can be applied per article. Interested authors must contact mail.glovento@gmail.com for waiver or discount requests. GJIS reserves the right to approve or reject such applications.

What the APC Covers

The APC helps cover the full cost of high-quality academic publishing, including:

  • Initial screening and ethical compliance checks
  • Management of the double-blind peer-review process
  • Professional typesetting and formatting
  • Proofreading and final quality assurance
  • Online hosting, DOI registration, and long-term archiving
  • Indexing in academic databases
  • Promotion and dissemination of published articles
  • Maintenance and development of journal technology platforms

These services are necessary to ensure academic quality, visibility, and global accessibility of all published research in GJIS.
