01 Introduction
Welcome to the Glovento Journal of Integrated Studies (GJIS), an academic journal dedicated to the publication and dissemination of scholarly research across interdisciplinary and integrated fields of study. GJIS provides a platform for researchers, academics, scholars, practitioners, and students to share original research, scholarly perspectives, and interdisciplinary studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
02 Aims and Scope
Aims
The Glovento Journal of Integrated Studies (GJIS) aims to serve as a premier international platform for the dissemination of high-quality, original research spanning multiple academic disciplines. The journal is committed to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, encouraging innovative approaches, and promoting the integration of diverse perspectives to address complex global challenges. By bridging gaps between fields, GJIS aspires to advance both theoretical understanding and practical applications that benefit academia, industry, and society at large.
Scope
GJIS publishes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and special issue contributions from a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to:
Humanities & Social Sciences
Literature, cultural studies, sociology, psychology, political science, education, communication, and history.
Natural & Applied Sciences
Biology, environmental studies, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and interdisciplinary scientific research.
Engineering & Technology
Computer science, information technology, artificial intelligence, data science, and sustainable technologies.
Business & Economics
Management, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and economic policy.
Health & Life Sciences
Public health, healthcare management, biomedical sciences, and allied health studies.
The journal particularly welcomes research that integrates methodologies, theories, and perspectives from multiple disciplines, fostering a richer understanding of complex phenomena. Special Issues on emerging themes and collaborative research topics are regularly encouraged to expand the global reach and academic impact of the journal.
03 Author Guidelines
Submission Limits
An author may publish a maximum of two manuscripts per issue: one as principal author and another as co-author, or both as co-author.
Plagiarism and Similarity Check
Similarity index must be below 10%, with all such instances properly cited.
Citation and Referencing
Use APA style (latest edition) for referencing and in-text citations. Include a complete reference list at the end of the manuscript.
Research Ethics
All authors must adhere to international research ethics throughout the research process.
Author Identification
Include ORCID iDs for all authors. Provide full affiliations. Submit main manuscript without author details and a separate title page with author details.
Manuscript Length
Quantitative studies: Minimum 6,000 words. Qualitative/Mixed-method: 8,000–12,000 words.
Language and Format
Manuscripts must be professionally edited. Use 11-point font and single spacing. Figures/tables should be placed within the text.
Submission Process
Submit in .doc/.docx format via the GJIS online system. Include a signed agreement form confirming compliance with all requirements.
Publication Ethics
Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere. Once peer review begins, manuscripts cannot be withdrawn.
Conflict of Interest
The corresponding author must ensure there is no conflict of interest among authors.
04 Editorial Review and Peer Review Policies
The editorial team follows comprehensive policies to ensure manuscripts are relevant, innovative, and of high quality. GJIS follows a double-blind peer review process.
Editorial Review
- Initial checks include formatting, guideline compliance, and plagiarism check
- Editorial review concludes within 7–8 days after submission
- Manuscripts not adhering to guidelines are returned without evaluation
Peer Review Process
- Double-blind review by experts of international standing
- At least three relevant experts must approve for publication
- At least one local and one international reviewer
- Authors' and reviewers' identities remain confidential
Peer Review Evaluation Criteria
05 Ethics and Malpractices Statement
GJIS is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical behavior throughout the publication process. All parties involved—authors, editors, and reviewers—are expected to conform to established ethical conduct.
Responsibilities of the Editors
- Evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance
- Make decisions regardless of authors' race, gender, religion, or institutional affiliation
- Maintain confidentiality of submissions
- Ensure fair and appropriate double-blind peer-review process
- Select reviewers with expertise aligned to manuscript content
- Handle conflicts of interest by assigning alternative editors
Responsibilities of the Reviewers
- Decline reviews if unqualified or unable to meet deadlines
- Treat manuscripts as confidential documents
- Conduct reviews objectively and provide constructive feedback
- Identify relevant literature not cited by the authors
- Refrain from using unpublished material for personal research
Responsibilities of the Authors
- Ensure manuscript is reviewed by an English language expert
- Use APA referencing and citation style
- Confirm manuscript is not under review elsewhere
- Disclose any conflicts of interest
- Ensure originality and no plagiarism
- Follow international research ethics
- Submit signed agreement granting GJIS non-exclusive rights
Responsibilities of the Publisher
- Take corrective action in cases of plagiarism, fraud, or misconduct
- Maintain long-term availability of published content
- Promptly correct inaccurate or misleading content
- Forward complaints to Editor-in-Chief for investigation
06 Open Access (OA) and Article Processing Charges (APCs)
GJIS publishes all articles under a Creative Commons CC-BY license, enabling immediate open access to scholarly work worldwide. This allows anyone to read, share, and reuse content with proper attribution.
Article Processing Charges Structure
GJIS charges a flat publication fee of USD 300 (Three Hundred US Dollars Only) per accepted manuscript.
No submission or other hidden fees are required.
Waiver Policy
Waivers of APCs are available for authors from low and lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank.
